We are an amazing clinic specialised in caring for people in pregnancy and suffering from gynaecological conditions. We are seeking an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team on a part-time or full time basis.

We consider our front of house the most important part of our business and the most crucial to find the right person. We are are highly selective in those allowed to join our family to ensure we deliver the best care from first contact through to final treatments. Plus, we want our work life to be as happy and comfortable as home life, whilst making sure things get done.

Our multidisciplinary practice includes Gynaecologists, Women's Health GPs, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Specialist Ultrasound, and Midwifes. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care within a professional, well-organised environment.


About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and friendly Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our valued patients. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of the clinic and requires a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

We are open to both Full-Time and Part-Time candidates to ensure we find the perfect fit for our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Management: Warmly greeting and checking in patients upon arrival.
  • Appointments: Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments via phone and in-person.
  • Administration: Managing patient files (both electronic and physical), processing billing, and handling Medicare/private health claims.
  • Communication: Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and directing inquiries to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Clinic Flow: Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of proficiency with computer systems and administrative tasks.
  • A strong commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.

Highly Desirable (Experienced Candidates):

  • Previous experience (1+ year) working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, MedicalDirector).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures (Medicare, private billing).

Trainee Consideration:

  • We will consider applicants with no prior experience who demonstrate enthusiasm, a fast learning ability, and a genuine interest in healthcare administration. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
