About the position

Join the City of Gosnells as a Pipelayer/General Hand and help shape essential civil projects that serve the community. You'll construct and modify stormwater drainage systems—including pipes, pits, and side entries—following detailed plans and policies. This hands-on role demands precision, accountability, and a commitment to quality at every step.

What we are looking for

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role in civil engineering
  • Delivering quality and desirable service levels in the context of the position requirements.
  • Demonstrate an ability to contribute and apply analytical and problem-solving skills in matters relating to road construction.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.

Essential requirements

  • Current MR class driver's licence
  • White Card
  • Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
