Walkies with Mali is currently seeking to expand their team with the opening of a casual position for a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter.

Walkies with Mali prides themselves on providing top level, reliable service to the pet parents of South Adelaide through dog walking, pet care drop ins, and some light cleaning.

Our business believes in providing pets with love and enrichment, in a trusted and safe relationship between clients and pets alike.

The position would be 5-15 hours a week with the opportunity to expand for the right candidate.

This role would suit someone looking to supplement their income in an exciting and rewarding way. We are looking for someone who considers themselves outgoing, bubbly, and enthusiastic. An individual with a great eye for detail, a huge love of animals (of course) and the ability to time manage, problem solve, and must be fit as we do a lot of walking Experience and confidence with strong and reactive dogs is a must

Someone who is studying Animal studies or looking for a career with animals will be desired.

Pay rate: Casual award wages within the miscellaneous award rate.

Weekend and Public holiday availability is also a must.

Requirements:

  • Must be confident with large, strong and reactive dogs (two at a time).

  • Own car and current license above L plates

  • Previous experience working with animals (references required)

  • Flexibility within working hours

  • Willing to work some weekends / public holidays

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Willingness to obtain a police check
  • Certified in Pet First Aid is preferred (or willingness to obtain)
