We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team to assist in the overall operation of the kitchen, including ingredient preparation, cooking, maintaining food quality, and supporting the supervision of kitchen staff.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Cooking to orders by applying different techniques
· Preparing and seasoning a range of ingredients for various dishes
· Following recipes and portion controls, and adjusting to customers' requirements where necessary
· Monitoring cooking and refrigeration equipment temperatures
· Checking the daily preparation list at the start of each shift to ensure ingredients and products are sufficient for service
· Providing support in managing storage, procurement, and stock rotation to maintain food quality and minimize waste.
· Assisting in cleaning and organisation of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage area
· Ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and food quality regulations and standards
· Managing general kitchen operations and providing support during peak service times.
· Providing training to kitchen staff and ensuring proper kitchen procedures are followed.
Required Qualification and Experience
· At least 2 years' experience as a Chef
Required Knowledge and Skills
· Experience with Asian cuisine is essential
· Proficiency in cutting and cooking techniques and principles
· Strong abilities to work as a team member
· Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
· Possess effective communication skills
