Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity for a Container Surveyor to join our growing team on
AFTERNOON SHIFT (4pm-12am).
This role will be responsible for conducting container/cargo pre-damage inspections and cross-check logistical data to ensure accuracy and efficiency when containers are delivered into container yard.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct inspection of incoming containers to shipping line and IICL standards
  • Prepare and process quotes for repairs to containers
  • Collaborate with Maintenance & Repair team to determine specific grade requirements for containers dependent to shipping line requirements
  • Use internal computer systems to complete quotes and recordings associated with cargo standards

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) certifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum 2 years container surveying experience
  • Experience using 1-Stop Modal (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Container Parks/Empty Depots
  • Need to be prepared to work outdoors in cold/hot/wet conditions every day
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CEDEX coding (advantageous)
