Position Overview
Smile Again Clinic is growing, and we're looking for a passionate Dental Prosthetist to join our team
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct oral examinations and assess patients' dental and oral health needs related to prosthetic treatment.
- Design, construct, and fit complete and partial dentures, immediate dentures, and overdentures.
- Provide chairside adjustments, relines, and repairs of existing dentures.
- Take impressions, jaw registrations, and shade selections for prosthetic appliances.
- Educate patients on the use, care, and maintenance of dentures and oral appliances.
- Provide removable mouthguards, whitening trays, and other oral devices as required.
- Refer patients to dentists or medical professionals for conditions outside the prosthetist's scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans in compliance with AHPRA and ADA regulations.
- Ensure infection control, sterilisation, and clinical safety standards are upheld.
- Stay updated with continuing professional development (CPD) and emerging dental prosthetic technologies.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Problem-solving ability with a focus on patient comfort and function.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and laboratory techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary dental team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Dental Prosthetics (or equivalent, recognised by AHPRA)
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- CPR and first aid certification (preferred).
