Part-Time 2-Day Housekeeping Nanny – Greenacre, NSW

Pay: $40 - $45 per hour

* 3 years old is the focus; occasionally look after the baby and 5-year-olds.

Our easygoing and warm Greenacre family is seeking a nurturing, professional, reliable, and physically fit nanny to assist with their children. The role will primarily focus on caring for their 3-year-old daughter with a developmental delay. The child attends therapy twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the nanny will take her to these appointments in their own car, following through with strategies recommended by the therapists and implementing them in daily routines. Ideally, candidates will have some childcare qualifications and experience working with children with special needs.

As one of the children has additional needs, strength and stamina are important, and you should expect some lifting in and out of the car. Mum will often be in and out for school pick-ups or errands, so the role requires someone who is confident working independently, takes initiative, and can anticipate the family's needs while collaborating seamlessly with her. Responsibilities include preparing meals for the 3-year-old, assisting with light housework during nap times, helping with laundry, and keeping the kitchen and playroom tidy.

The family is looking for a long-term nanny who will truly become part of their lives, someone who brings kindness, patience, and genuine care to the children each day. Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Build a warm and trusting relationship with the children and family
  • Support the 3-year-old during therapy appointments and implement recommended strategies
  • Prepare nutritious meals for the 3-year-old
  • Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry and tidying
  • Help with school pick-ups when required
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Maintain consistency with the family's routines and values

  • Minimum 3+ years professional experience with children (babies and toddlers)
  • NDIS experience (or willingness to learn)
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Minimum of 2 child-related references (Australia-based)
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
