Role Overview:

Please note this role will be located in Geelong - We are currently seeking an experienced professional from a manufacturing or industrial production background to come on board in our new role of Assistant Production Manager. We are seeking applicants with a strong background in managing production teams, assisting in continuous improvement projects, and ensuring the quality management of production processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage production teams to ensure daily operational goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and monitor production outputs to maintain high-quality results.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of production to meet customer demands and business goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Be across key performance metrics and report on production performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in production management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing production staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and applying them in a production setting.
  • Exposure to or experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing industries is highly desired.
