Direct Freight Express is a national leading transport and logistics company and has been in operation for 32 years.

We are seeking an experienced Bookings Clerk for our Kemps Creek depot.  This is a hands-on role which requires a high level of accuracy, communication and organisation.

Location:- Kemps Creek, NSW

The position will include duties such as but will not be limited to:

• Investigate and print con notes on a daily basis;
• Action all email and phone requests promptly;
• Maintain a high degree of coordination of all Distribution Centre (DC) bookings - which includes bookings and delivery schedules;
• Allocation of correct vehicles to support bookings/delivery schedules for loading of freight;
• Making decisions quickly to support operational demands/requirements.
• Liaise with the radio operators and other departments within the business.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Bulk Operations team as required.

In order to be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

• Must be able to commence shifts from 4am (Mon-Fri, with some Saturday work) this is subject to change
• Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics Industry (essential)
• Previous Bookings experience (essential)
• Valid Forklift licence (Essential)
• Sound knowledge of freight handling and service orientation
• Previous experience in a large, fast paced working environment i.e. Distribution Centre (advantageous)
• Knowledge of CoR (Chain of Responsibility) with respect to loading of freight;
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in fast paced environment
• Be highly organised with a high level of attention to detail
• Computer literate
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional and focused at all times
• Effective Time Management Skills
