We are looking for an experienced
Test Manager
for a long-term contract with one of our Federal Government Clients.

Required Skills

  • 10 Plus years dedicated testing experience and 5+ years test leadership experience
    .
  • Experience in a
    test leadership role within a large and complex digital transformation project in government.
  • Experience in using tools such as
    Microsoft Test Manager, Jira and Azure DevOps
    .
  • Strong experience with
    Backend API testing / interface: REST, JSON, XML
    .
  • Strong experience with standalone
    .Net applications and websites.
  • Proven experience of working in an Agile team.
  • Experience in developing program level testing strategies in collaboration with technology delivery teams and business change management teams
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science
    (or other relevant discipline).
  • Experience in
    Automation skills
    .
  • Strong experience with
    ServiceNow applications
    .

Responsibilities

  • Working with business stakeholders and multiple development teams to understand the scope of product releases and work with the team to develop and document test strategies and acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements, and service level requirements.
  • Defining and implementing test management frameworks and tools including test automation.
  • Developing test plans for specific releases and performing quality reviews of vendor produced test plans for specific releases.
  • Managing and reporting on testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing for each release cycle.
  • Planning and leading user acceptance testing for multiple releases.
  • Reporting and tracking the resolution of issues as they are found in testing.
  • Assisting with issue triage.
  • Developing test reports.
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

  • Candidates must be
    an
    Australian Citizen.
  • Candidates must have
    NV1 Security Clearance.

Special Condition

  • Applicants will preferably perform the role in Canberra.
    • Hybrid working arrangements (i.e. a combination of onsite attendance at Client office and remote working) will be considered against operational requirements.
