Role Details:

Reporting to the Senior Advisor: Contracts, the ideal candidate will be a service-driven team player with a successful contract development and administration track record.

This position provides contract management support across Gold Fields Australia's (4) mining operations.

This permanent role is offered on a 9-day fortnight roster at our Perth corporate office.

About the role:

  • Managing key contractual relationships and performance outcomes between Gold Fields and its contractors;
  • Identifying and creating opportunities for cost reduction and value-adding in all agreements entered into on behalf of Gold Fields Australia Pty Ltd and its related entities;
  • Leading negotiations and providing input into the development, implementation and management of contracts;
  • Development and ongoing management of key spend categories within an assigned contract portfolio per Gold Fields' category management framework and company policies/procedures;
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to review and develop category management strategies;
  • Compiling agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations; and
  • Managing contractor relationships with a view to minimising commercial risk.

About you:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, resources and/or construction industries.
  • A proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of goods, services and works contracts, including forming sourcing strategies, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing commercial management.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • SAP Ariba and SAP MM experience highly regarded.
