Our Facilities Management team is dedicated to ensuring a safe, efficient, and inviting environment for the entire UniSC community. These roles encompass a variety of functions such as building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial services, and facility planning, all aimed at supporting the university's operational excellence.

Primary Objectives:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on university buildings, systems, and equipment to ensure their optimal functioning.
• General groundskeeping duties, including landscaping, gardening, and exterior maintenance.
• Coordinate custodial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all facilities.
• Assist in facility planning and project management for new constructions, renovations, and space optimisation.
• Contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the university's ecological footprint.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing and resolving facility related issues reported by students, staff, and visitors.

Desirable Qualifications or Skills:

• Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
