OUR CLIENT

Our Client is a well renowned Health organisation located in Melbournes CBD. The Procurement function in this business has a strong team based culture, built on trust and commercial delivery.

Due to a recent increase in projects across the business and within high priority areas of the organisation, we are searching for a Procurement Specialist with experience in delivering complex procurement projects across a variety of categories across the board from Capex to IT, Professional Services and general indirects.

ROLE As the Procurement Specialist, you will be engaging with the whole business to support and deliver procurement events that focus on value and service delivery which will benefit the patients of this organisation.

The Procurement Specialist in this business will focus on delivering procurement activities for any products or services as required. Your role is to be the SME for all procurement activities end to end, helping the business to understand good procurement practice and to achieve commercial outcomes which ultimately benefit the patients.

Specifically, you will:

  • Run end to end sourcing events including specification development, tender management, evaluation, negotiation and contract implementation
  • Build strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality supply is maintained and risk free
  • Build strong internal relationships with all business units to ensure that they are bought in with the change and support this ongoing

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate for this role will have been successful in delivering sourcing processes and have exposure to working with senior stakeholders involved in projects. This person will be able to operate autonomously but also be able to work in a team based environment, partnering closely with the leadership team.

The type of person who thrives at this organisation is someone who is highly commercial, strong negotiator, strong sourcing process knowledge but most importantly someone who enjoys being challenged and wants to enjoy where they work  

  • 5+ years experience in a Procurement role with similar experience
  • Category exposure across a variety of categories from Capex to IT, Professional Services and general indirects.
  • High energy, results driven mentality and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good stakeholder management capability
