About the Role

As a Staff Security Engineer, you'll be a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing and delivering automation-led security solutions across a cloud-native environment.

You'll work closely with experienced engineers across security, software, and DevOps disciplines to strengthen detection, response, and resilience capabilities. This role suits someone who enjoys building scalable, high-impact systems - not just managing them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive security automation initiatives and continuous improvement across the environment
  • Enhance threat detection and response through advanced log ingestion and analytics
  • Build and maintain tooling and integrations using Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into CI/CD and cloud operations
  • Develop and tune detection rules and playbooks within Sentinel (or equivalent)

What We're Looking For

  • Deep experience in
    log ingestion, threat hunting, and detection engineering
  • Strong technical skills in
    Microsoft Sentinel
    and
    KQL
    (or transferable experience in
    Splunk
    ,
    ELK
    , etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python
  • ideally with experience developing
    SOAR playbooks
  • Solid understanding of
    cloud risk and security practices
    within fast-scaling tech environments
  • Familiarity with
    DevOps tooling
    (GitHub, CI/CD pipelines)
  • (Desirable) Exposure to
    red/purple teaming
    or offensive testing
