Catering HQ Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated
Accountant
to join our growing team. We are looking for someone proactive and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organisational skills who can contribute to the continued success of our group. You'll ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance, and contribute to the business's overall financial performance. We always offer career progression as you develop in the company.

Catering HQ is a family run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 13 fabulous venues across Sydney and Melbourne. We believe in striving for excellence at all times and pride ourselves on having an experienced and dedicated team who love their work and their work environment.

KEY DUTIES

  • Managing the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple venues and group entities.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, and monthly performance summaries.
  • Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and analysing key financial data to support management decisions.
  • Monitoring internal financial controls and ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax returns for all entities within the group.
  • Support payroll processing and accuracy checks for multiple venues.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with BDMs and clients.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.

Key Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Competed or working towards their CA/CPA qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in management accounting, financial accounting and reporting.
  • Tech savviness and experience with computerised accounting packages
  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multi-entity or group accounts will be highly regarded.
