About the role:
Work across Caboolture South, Woodford, Burpengary and Bribie Wastewater Treatment Plants as a Treatment Plant Operator. Help manage and maintain sewage and recycled water treatment plants, monitor processes, ensure compliance with regulations, carry out sampling and reporting, and support safe, efficient operations—all while developing your skills through ongoing training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and control treatment plant processes and systems to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Conduct sampling, analysis, and maintain accurate reporting and logs.
- Coordinate with Field Services for maintenance, repairs, and asset management.
- Perform general housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and ensure plant safety.
- Manage daily operations in the absence of the Operator-in-Charge.
- Participate in training, professional development, and safety audits.
- Support and follow Unitywater's WH&S policies and ISO standards.

- Knowledge of OH&S requirements, including risk assessments
- Experience with record keeping, report writing, and document control using an Integrated Management System

- Investigative, analytical, and research skills
- Time and project management capabilities
- Familiarity with process review and improvement tools
- Ability to read and interpret standard Sewage Treatment Plant documentation, including P&IDs, technical specifications, and single line diagrams
- The ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with team members
- Confidence in receiving, understanding, and articulating work instructions to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
