Slacks Creek Queensland Australia YFS Full time $101,106 - $103,285 per year

As the Implementation Change Coordinator, you'll help drive and support key projects and change initiatives, playing a central part in ensuring change is delivered in a structured, sustainable way.

You'll be instrumental in supporting leadership to implement new initiatives, enhance service quality, and ensure that best practices are standardised across all teams.

YFS upholds excellence, integrity, and courage, supporting people to overcome adversity and thrive. You'll join a diverse, inclusive team that values cultural respect and celebrates all backgrounds, making a real impact through your work.

About the job

Role location: Slacks Creek

Role type: Permanent, full-time

Pay range: $101,106 – $103,285 per year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

  • Be at the centre of driving and coordinating strategic projects and change initiatives across the organisation. This is a hands-on role where you're not just overseeing tasks but actively rolling up your sleeves to get things done. It's about directly shaping how YFS evolves, improves, and delivers impact. You'll proactively identify bottlenecks and help embed change in a practical, sustainable way that's aligned with YFS's values.
  • Enjoy a day filled with meaningful collaboration. You'll regularly connect with the YFS Leadership Team, Chief Impact Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. You'll also have some contact with external partners like community groups, government, and local businesses to help support YFS's work and relationships.
  • YFS is deeply committed to cultural respect and inclusion. You'll help ensure that service planning and delivery recognises the history and ongoing impacts for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and that all services are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and client-centred.
  • Picture yourself leading/supporting project meetings, troubleshooting challenges, supporting teams as they roll out new initiatives, and providing updates to stakeholders. You'll be the go-to person for coordinating change, tracking progress, and making sure everyone is informed and engaged.
  • Success in this role means strategic and operational projects and change initiatives are delivered on time and within capacity. You'll see measurable improvements in operations, minimise organisational bottlenecks, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. Stakeholders will be well-informed and engaged, and you'll help ensure YFS's services are always evolving to meet client needs.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from the link below, you'll be a great fit if:

  • You love being hands-on. This isn't just a management role—it's a "doing" role. You thrive on getting things done, rolling up your sleeves, and helping out wherever needed. You're comfortable switching between leading, supporting, and actively contributing to projects and service delivery.
  • You bring experience and a willingness to learn. Maybe you've previously led services support people or managed projects, or perhaps you have strong experience in change implementation within community, advocacy, or nonprofit settings. What matters most is your willingness to learn, sit alongside others, and support teams as they adapt and grow.
  • You're at a stage in your career where you want impact and variety. You're looking for a role where every day is different, where you can see the results of your work, and where you're part of a team that values collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • You're driven by purpose and people. You want your next role to be meaningful, to make a difference for clients and communities, and to work with colleagues who share your commitment to positive change.
  • Who wouldn't be a great fit? If you prefer to stay at a distance from the work, or you're looking for a purely strategic or supervisory role, this may not be for you. Success here means being hands-on, adaptable, and ready to jump in and support wherever you're needed.
