Director - Communications & Public Relations

This role is accountable for shaping, protecting, and elevating TechnologyOne's reputation across all markets. As the leader of a high-performing, multi-functional communications team, you will oversee public relations, analyst relations, and internal and external and executive communications to ensure cohesive, consistent, and strategic storytelling across the organisation.
Operating at a senior executive level, you will work in close partnership with Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and the Senior Leadership Team to design and deliver high-impact communication strategy and programs that reinforce TechnologyOne's brand and support our broader strategic company objectives.
What you'll be doing…
- Design and execute a cohesive companywide communications and PR strategy.
- Advise senior C- Suite leaders on reputation, issues and crisis management.
- Align all communication activity with company priorities and with the marketing strategy.
- Own media strategy, press announcements, customer references and thought-leadership programs.
- Build strong relationships with journalists and key media outlets.
- Lead transparent, timely crisis and issues communications.
- Manage relationships with global analysts and research firms.
- Lead briefings, submissions and influence market perception.
- Drive engaging employee communications that strengthen alignment and culture.
- Oversee all external corporate content across digital, social and corporate channels.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across the organisation.
- Partner with Executives on speeches, presentations and messaging.
- Collaborate across the business with key stakeholders on communications requirements
- Support governance, regulatory and ESG communications.
- Contribute to Board-level reporting where required.
- Lead, mentor and empower a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Foster a positive, solutions-focused, "can-do" culture.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and communications.
- Ensure compliance with policies, risk, and work health & safety requirements.
Your Talents…
- 10-15+ years' experience in communications, PR, corporate affairs or a related field within an ASX-listed or global publicly-listed organisation.
- Proven experience operating at an executive level, partnering directly with CEOs, ELTs and Boards.
- Strong team leadership capability with a track record of building, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary communications teams.
- Deep expertise across corporate communications, media relations and reputation management.
- Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, influential and strategic messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues, crises and high-stakes stakeholder environments.
- Business Acumen and Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally at all levels with key business stakeholders.
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced or transformational B2B tech or Enterprise SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with digital communications, social media strategy and emerging communications technologies.
