Looking for a role where your work truly makes a difference? Join us in helping people sleep better, breathe easier, and live healthier, more vibrant lives.
About the role:
We're seeking a Sleep & CPAP Technician-in-Training to join our team in Wanneroo/Midland. While prior experience in CPAP or sleep therapy is a bonus, it's not essential. If you're sharp, personable, and bring a solid background in allied health, healthcare retail, or customer service, we'll provide comprehensive, hands-on training to set you up for success.
You'll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that takes pride in delivering meaningful care. Each day, you'll play a key role in helping patients improve their sleep and overall wellbeing with guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
You naturally connect with people and communicate with ease. You're a strong listener, genuinely curious about others, and take a solutions-focused approach to helping meet their needs.
If you do your best work in a values-driven environment, you'll feel right at home with us. Delivering a five-star experience at every interaction - whether by phone, email or in person-is central to how we care for our patients.
You'll be joining a team of kind, capable, and authentic people who are proud to make a difference every day through exceptional care and diagnostic services. We lead with empathy, professionalism, and just the right dose of good humour.
This role reports to Melinda, our Team Leader, and offers some flexibility. We are open to the role being full-time or part-time with our core hours being 9am-5pm, We want to find the right person who'll thrive with us and share our values,
Here are a few things we believe will make you a great fit for this role:
- Experience in pharmacy, CPAP, optometry, audiology, or healthcare retail is a bonus but not essential. The right attitude matters more, and we're willing to train the right person.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, multitasking environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.
- Strong patient focus, with empathy, compassion, and a genuine drive to deliver outstanding care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clarity, tone, grammar, and attention to detail all matter here. We need someone who can write confidently and professionally.
- Highly organised, with a natural attention to detail. You enjoy staying on top of the small things, because you know they add up to something bigger.
- Able to work well under pressure, managing competing priorities calmly and confidently.
- A self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly, and doesn't wait to be told what needs doing.
- Positive, energetic, and committed to seeing things through.
- Integrity, discretion, and professionalism. You'll be trusted with sensitive information and expected to do the right thing, every time.
Bonus points if you also love lists, checkboxes, and know how to use an Oxford comma.
And yes — being able to keep up with our chocolate consumption will definitely help you fit in.
Here are 3 reasons why we hope you'll love working for us:
- Find a culture of kindness and respect. We really care - about our work and our people. We don't just provide our patients with friendly and compassionate care, you will feel it too.
- Do work that matters and feel valued for your contribution. We provide a patient-focussed service. We 'see' them when they walk in the door. The experience for them is personal and as such you will enjoy meaningful interactions.
- Enjoy varied work and grow as you go. You'll jump in and out of many different tasks and challenges, and our whole team will support you to achieve, whatever comes your way.
And here are 3 reasons why we're afraid you might not:
- We don't do ridiculous hours but we do work really hard and rarely sit still.
- Sleep Life Australia is really good at trust and integrity. We're not so good at micro-management. If you find it hard to work without pressure or ongoing direction, we're definitely not the best choice for you
- We value change, we are growing and we understand that change is part of growth.
Want to be considered?
We receive a high volume of applications and to be honest, we won't review those without a cover letter. If you're genuinely interested, please include a short, tailored cover letter that answers the three questions below. This is your opportunity to show us who you are beyond the resume.
Please include answers to these three questions in your cover letter:
- Tell us about a time when your attention to detail made a real difference especially in written communication or patient/customer care. What was the outcome?
- Describe a time when you supported a teammate who was struggling. What did you do, and how did it impact the team?
- Bonus (optional but telling): What's your go-to snack when you're deep in admin mode?
We're not expecting essays — we're looking for insight into how you think, how you work, and how you might fit in with our team.
Applications close on 13/11/2025.
