Part-Time 3-Day Newborn Nanny – Darling Point NSW

Hours: 2 Mornings 7.00am–11.00am; 1 Evening 5.00pm-9.00pm

Children: B2m

Pay: $40-$45 p/h (negotiable)

Our warm, professional, and active Darling Point family is looking for a dedicated and experienced nanny to care for their newborn son. This is an exciting opportunity for a career nanny with strong newborn experience to join a welcoming household and play a key role in their child's early development. The family is seeking someone who is reliable, nurturing, and confident, and who will become a trusted and valued member of their home.

The role focuses on supporting the child's daily routines, including feeding, sleep, play, and engagement. Mornings may involve settling the baby for naps, light household tasks, or quiet personal time when all care needs are met. Evenings will include bath and bedtime routines, with additional light household duties if required. Parents are partially present during care periods, attending to work or personal commitments, so the nanny will enjoy a supportive, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is calm, attentive, and confident, with a mature and easy-going approach. A sense of humour, warmth, and the ability to bring reassurance and support to the family are highly valued. Reliability, professionalism, and experience with newborns are essential.

This is a long-term role within a respectful and caring household that values open communication, flexibility, and autonomy. The successful nanny will have the opportunity to grow with the family, becoming a cherished part of their daily life and formative years.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily routines, including feeding, settling, play, and engagement
  • Bath and bedtime care
  • Light household chores related to childcare (tidying, laundry, toy rotation)
  • Occasional ad hoc shifts for special events
  • Confident, safe use of provided vehicle for family errands

To apply, you MUST have:

  • Experience caring for newborns
  • Two professional child-related references
  • A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain ASAP)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain ASAP)
  • Current National Police Check
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
  • Up-to-date immunisations (including Whooping Cough & MMR. COVID and flu encouraged but not essential)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
