  • Full time fixed term opportunity 80 hours per fortnight Mon to Sunday working on a rotating roster with 7am or 10am starts
     

About the Role

You will provide crucial clerical support and facilitate patient management for day procedure department. Including admitting patients completing reception duties and delivering exceptional customer service. A key component of the role is ensuring patient confidentiality is always preserved.

  • Create patient records and complete all necessary information accurately and in line with current procedures

  • Admit patients accurately and in a timely manner

  • Maintain a high level of customer service by handling patient enquires via telephone and in person, in an efficient, professional, and caring manner

  • Arrange appointments for patients as requested by clinical staff

The classification for this position will be HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

  • Previous administration experience in a health setting

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Knowledge of private health fund billing and public health funding

  • Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Team

You will be a part of the Environmental Services team, which is a large and varied department operating across multiple locations within St Vincent's Melbourne campus. We have Patients Services Clerks are located at both Fitzroy and Kew.
