About the Role:

We're looking for a friendly, dynamic individual to join our team as a Dental Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator. This role offers flexible hours, with a commitment of 2 - 4 days a week (including every second Saturday). As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a dental receptionist or front office coordinator.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in Dental 4 Windows or similar dental software is preferred.
  • Personality: A caring, nurturing attitude with a passion for providing excellent patient service.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Must be confident both in person and on the phone.
  • Team Player: Ability to work seamlessly with a team and maintain a professional, well-presented appearance.
  • Commitment: Looking for a long-term role with a practice that encourages professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet patients with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Efficiently manage appointments, including confirmations, recalls, standby lists, and IV sedation scheduling.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including managing referrals and correspondence with specialists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with invoicing (including Hicaps, Medicare, and Eftpos claims).
  • Balance the day's financials and assist with payment options.
  • Coordinate lab job pick-up/drop-off and assist with sterilization duties.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients and contribute to a welcoming environment.
