What you'll do

As the Global IS Operations Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping and delivering our global technology operations. You'll be responsible for managing core IS infrastructure services including end-user computing, networks, servers, storage, and backup while driving an evergreen strategy that keeps our platforms current, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.

You'll oversee key operational supplier contracts, manage significant OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and work closely with internal teams and global vendors to ensure service excellence. This role is central to strengthening vendor partnerships, ensuring operational performance, and supporting reliable, secure, and scalable services across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of service contracts for IS operational suppliers, including approximately $20m of the total $45m OPEX budget and around $8m of the total $12m CAPEX budget.
• Establish effective governance and global management of these services, providing regular status reports on service delivery.
• Oversee the maintenance of global IS infrastructure services within agreed performance metrics, including servers, storage, network, end-user devices, and related technologies.
• Support regionally located services by applying standard practices for networks, telecommunications, and end-user computing.
• Manage and continuously improve IS operational service delivery through a combination of internal teams and third-party providers.
• Provide rapid and proactive support for VIP services as required.
  Collaborate with the managed service provider to maintain and optimise our infrastructure delivery in line with Santos ITIL practices.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience leading global technology operations teams and services.
• Strong background in standardising practices across global sites for efficiency and scale.
• Deep understanding of IT service management and governance, including ITIL principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance. frameworks.
• Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and delivering concurrent projects.
• Confident in managing business change and engaging stakeholders across complex environments.
• Broad exposure to enterprise infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborative approach to working with Architecture on standards and lifecycle planning.
• Adhere to compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS) and Delegation of Authority (DOA).
• Experience working in or alongside related disciplines such as supply chain, telecommunications, or business operations.
• Familiarity with vendor management frameworks in large, complex environments.
• Exposure to operating within large-scale transformational programs.
  Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in an IS/IT technical area.
