- Statutory Reporting: Implementing climate-related mandatory reporting, compliance with regulatory and assurance requirements.
- Data Strategy: Developing the Group's ESG data strategy, enhancing reporting and data capabilities, and managing end-to-end data activities.
- Climate Policy: Providing technical climate expertise, supporting external reporting requirements, and assisting business units in interpreting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the build and execution of the Australian Housing financed emissions and glidepath calculation, including coding updates to uplift and rebuild the existing model.
- Collaborate with team members and various ESG teams across the Group to support the build and execution of other mandatory disclosures.
- Investigate and solve data and calculation issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare key reporting deliverables (internal and external) for quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Assist with year-end reporting and audit deliverables, including the Climate Report and Annual Report.
- Develop and operationalise key reporting processes to gather and transform financial and climate-related data.
- Enhance the end-to-end control environment and data management of climate-related data to improve data capture and quality.
- Drive capability uplift across the team on Python coding and identify opportunities to improve, automate, simplify, and de-risk reporting processes.
- Collaborate with the broader ESG Performance Reporting team and ESG teams in the business units to drive improvements.
- Provide critical insights to drive discussion, support transparency, and deliver value-add analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to a strong and vibrant team culture.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, which sets the standards of behaviour, actions, and decisions we expect from our people.
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
- Strong analytical and data processing skills with experience working with large datasets and the ability to draw insights on business problems and identify drivers.
- Experience in an analytics role working with complex data transformations and calculations, with the ability to interrogate and understand data manipulations.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment that is often ambiguous.
- A positive outlook and ability to collaborate across multiple teams and deliver to reporting timeframes.
- Proactive and solutions-based approach with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
- A creative problem solver who is passionate about driving process improvement and change.
- Proven ability to deliver challenging tasks and manage multiple deliverables.
- Advanced coding skills using Python and SQL, with the ability to write, review, and troubleshoot code to solve business problems. Experience with other analytical tools such as Tableau or Alteryx is a plus.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a reporting or finance discipline (forecasting, financial accounting, or management reporting) or experience with external assurance requirements is a plus.
- A keen interest in climate reporting, climate outcomes, and the role that CBA can play in decarbonising Australia.
- Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related discipline.
