About the opportunity

The ESG Analyst will play a key role in supporting Steadfast's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting and disclosures. This role will leverage financial and analytical expertise to assess climate and ESG-related risks and opportunities, support integration of ESG considerations into business processes, and ensure alignment with evolving reporting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Complete control boundary and materiality assessments.
  • Assist in the collection, verification, and analysis of consumption data for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions calculations from subsidiaries and Group.
  • Analyse, and interpret ESG-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's ESG strategy and initiatives.
  • Implementation of Scope 3 emissions data collection for FY27 reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of climate-related financial disclosures (AASB S2 reporting), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Partner with Finance and Risk teams to assess the financial implications of ESG-related risks, including climate change.

Skills and Knowledge

  • A minimum 4 years' relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial and analytical background with the ability to model and interpret complex data.
  • Experience in ESG, sustainability, or climate risk reporting, preferably within financial services, insurance, or a related sector.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
