Senior Data Engineer (Consultant)

Sydney / HybridJoin a fast-growing, innovative team working across data, cloud, and AI solutions. You'll design and build data pipelines, support end-to-end technology delivery, and mentor junior engineers, all while collaborating closely with clients on diverse projects.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and optimise complex data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
  • Contribute to innovation and new ideas within a growing data and AI practice

Essential skills

  • Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and ETL design
  • Client-facing consulting experience (internal or external)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms
  • Strong Python, SQL, or Spark coding skills, with clean and scalable code delivery

Nice to have

  • Experience with Databricks or Snowflake
  • Data visualisation skills (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and big data frameworks (Spark, streaming solutions)
  • Knowledge of good data security practices
