Telehealth Nurse PRACTITIONER

Please note: This role is only for those with the additional required qualifications as a Nurse PRACTITIONER.

About the role:

Are you a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for medicinal cannabis? ALTUVA clinic is offering an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team, specialising with anxiety & chronic pain conditions through access to medicinal cannabis.

This casual position allows you to work from home, offering flexibility and a chance to make a meaningful impact in patient healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise advanced clinical knowledge to conduct patient assessments and triage via Telehealth.
  • Educate patients on the practicalities of medicinal cannabis treatment and address their inquiries.
  • Conduct treatment monitoring consultations via Telehealth.
  • Serve as a primary contact for patients, responding to queries and escalating issues to medical practitioners when necessary.
  • Conduct structured patient assessments via Telehealth with support from treating physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry best practices.

Requirements for the role:

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN) required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Medicare Provider Number Required **

Experience in medicinal cannabis medicine is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
