Peppers Broadbeach is located in the heart of the Gold Coasts' retail and dining precinct, Broadbeach and within walking distance from the light rail. The property consists of two towers that include stylishly designed one and two bedroom suites, three bedroom Sky Home and a Sub Penthouse. With Pacific Fair Shopping Centre just a stone's throw away, you have easy access to retail and dining therapy on your days off However, if that's not your thing you'll find your perfect spot on the nearby beach – whether it's for a relaxation session or beach sports

Purpose

As a Night Public Area Cleaner, you are a vital part of our night owl team, committed to upholding impeccable cleanliness throughout the property. You will feel comfortable working independently, carrying the on-call phone, and being readily available - a welcoming presence for guests seeking assistance with late-night questions or minor maintenance issues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the property always looks its best, with a keen focus on both indoor and outdoor public areas to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
  • Happily assisting in preparing guest rooms ready for the next day's operation
  • Offering guest assistance as needed, this may involve tasks such as key security, and responding to minor issues all whilst ensuring privacy and confidentiality
  • Be the eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items
  • Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 10pm to 6am

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role (as a cleaner/room attendant/public areas attendant) is a plus
  • Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both guests and team members feel at ease
  • You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
  • Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas.
  • You will be an independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision
  • Reliable transportation and availability to work a flexible rotating schedule including weekends and public holidays as required
