We are seeking an experienced Composite Boat Builder to join our dedicated team. This role is hands-on and focused on the construction and assembly of advanced composite boats, including carbon fibre hulls, decks, and structural components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laminating and fitting carbon fibre and composite parts
  • Constructing hulls, decks, and internal structures
  • Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensuring work meets strict quality, performance, and safety standards
  • Collaborating with a skilled team to deliver projects on time and to specification

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in boat building and/or yacht construction
  • Proficiency in laminating (carbon fibre experience highly regarded)
  • Strong knowledge of marine industry standards
  • Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity
  • Relevant trade/vocational training or certifications (advantageous)

Hart Marine is located in across two sites. This position is for our Somerville site at Yaringa Boat Harbour. In close proximity to Koo Wee Rup, Langwarrin, Pearcedale, Tyabb, Hastings, Crib point, Balnarring, Red hill and Flinders as well as Rye, Dromana, Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula and Bayside areas of Frankston, Seaford, Carrum Downs, Patterson Lakes, Mordialloc.
