Join Our Team at The Navy Bear Café - Waterfront Darling Point

Dream Cafe job with NO WEEKENDS. 830-1:30pm Monday to Friday. Perfect for students, or parents looking for income that works around their schedules or working rights. (Candidates can also pick two alternative days off, role must work Monday and Tuesday)

Located on the picturesque waterfront at Darling Point, The Navy Bear is easily accessible, with multiple transport options just a short walk away, including major bus routes, and a 15-minute walk from Edgecliff Station or Darling Point Ferry Wharf.

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. This permanent part time role is based at the Royal Australian Sailing Naval Association (RANSA) and offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Place orders and take payments at register
  • Prepare cold beverages as needed.
  • Assist barista with preparation of coffee (experience not required, training will be provided)
  • Maintain service on the floor, running food and rinks, clearing and re-setting tables.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to café patrons and club members.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and kitchen teams.
  • Complete daily shift reports and ensure clear communication and accountability across the team.
  • Assist in receiving stock and keeping store areas clean and tidy
  • Standard cleaning duites

Key Requirements:

  • Working rights in Australia.
  • Good customer service skills and eye for detail.
  • Good communication skills and competency in English.
  • Ability to multitask, thrive under pressure, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A love for Dogs - they are as frequent a visitor as our human guests

Desirable Qualities:

  • 1 + years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated skills with an eagerness to grow.
  • 1 + years barista experience
