Details: The Business Services team manages and provides support across Children, Youth and Families (CYF) division including all aspects of operational functions. This team is responsible for the management of fleet, consumable monitoring and ordering, IT and travel requests, business finance processing and workforce. This team Supports, develops, and implements business systems across CYF for related functions and monitors, audits and reports on these functions as required.

The Business Services Officer is a demand driven role and will work as part of a team to deliver professional outcomes for Children, Youth and Families, with a primary focus of supporting the administrative functions of the Business Services team within Children Youth and Families. This could include work across Operations, Finance and/or Workforce.

Business Services Officer will provide excellent customer service to CYF clients and staff, and will have an understanding of child protection, youth justice and supporting services.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • Experience and/or a desire to work in a community services environment is essential.
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
  • Driver's license (C class) is essential.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
  • As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable
