ABOUT THE ROLE

As First Nations Coordinator, you will play a central role in strengthening engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities while delivering on the organisation's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.

  • Build and nurture relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, leaders, and organisations.
  • Coordinate and deliver RAP initiatives, cultural engagement projects, and community programs.
  • Support events such as National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week.
  • Promote reconciliation principles across staff, stakeholders, and the broader community.
  • Partner with First Nations businesses to support social procurement outcomes.
  • Contribute to sustainability and ESG activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Victoria.
  • At least 2 years' experience in stakeholder or project management, ideally in reconciliation, Indigenous affairs, or social impact initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Familiarity with RAP frameworks and social procurement processes.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with diverse groups while managing projects independently.
