General Hand

Join a proudly Australian, family-owned marine business at the heart of the Gold Coast boating scene. Tim Stessl Marine is expanding production and looking for a motivated General Hand to become part of our team working across the Makocraft & Sea-Trex brands.

About the Role

As a General Hand, you'll play a key part in preparing, fitting out and maintaining high-quality aluminium boats. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be involved in:

• General workshop tasks such as picking up and dropping off boats and trailers. Experience in towing boats and trailers is a must.
• Washing and detailing boats and trailers and preparing for transport/hand over.
• Picking up raw materials in company vehicle as required.
• Maintaining yard and factory tidiness.
• Other general duties as required.

What We're Looking For

We value people who take initiative, think on their feet and enjoy variety. Essential skills and attributes include:

• Licences: Full open QLD driver's licence, QLD boat licence would be advantageous, but not necessary.
• Practical ability: Mechanical or marine experience preferred (but not essential if you're handy and eager to learn).
• Organisation & problem-solving: Able to prioritise tasks and adapt when plans change.
• Team spirit: Works well both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
