The Opportunity

We're seeking a Health & Safety Systems Specialist to support the delivery and improvement of our safety systems, programs, and platforms. This role is key in ensuring compliance, maintaining certifications, and driving a strong safety culture across the business.

In this role you will:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and improvements of the health & safety systems, standards, and procedures across all sites
  • Support the upkeeping of certifications and accreditations including ISO45001 and other external compliance requirement
  • Support the coordination of corporate safety programs such as legal monitoring, health monitoring, drug & alcohol programs, and injury management
  • Lead safety reporting, performance analysis, and gap identification.
  • Conduct and support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance activities
  • Monitor safety data, ensure accuracy and quality control, and provide coaching to Management and employees
  • Drive change management, consultation, and communication to embed best practice safety behaviours
  • Support and lead projects that improve safety outcomes across operations

About you:

  • 3+ years' experience leading health & safety systems, projects, or change initiatives
  • Tertiary qualifications in health & safety (post-grad desirable)
  • Lead Auditor accreditation in ISO:45001 (Safety)
  • Strong knowledge of the OHS Act, regulations, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience implementing and improving safety platforms or management systems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to identify risks and solutions
