About us – HealthX
We're HealthX, and we have a long track record of successfully placing Registered Nurses from a range of specialisations into roles across regional Australia.
We're not an agency. Instead, we directly employ our nurses while they work in roles across a variety of leading hospitals and health services.
Our Registered Nurse (RN) Sponsorship Program, which has been running for more than a decade, has helped over 500 nurses find incredible opportunities across the country.
About the Role
We currently have a range of placements for Registered Nurses in acute care available in regional communities, as part of our industry-leading RN Sponsorship Program.
You will be employed by HealthX, then seconded to work for one of our hospital partners – a leading public or private acute care facility.
HealthX will support you the entire time through our Soft Landing Program, which helps you transition smoothly into your new role and community.
You'll experience a different pace of life, gain access to exciting clinical exposure, fast-track your career, and potentially make lifelong friends along the way.
The Benefits of Working in Regional Acute Care

- Exposure to a diverse patient mix and varied presentations
- Access to professional development and leadership pathways
- The chance to explore new places, take on new adventures, and meet incredible people – all while advancing your career
To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 24 months of experience at the Registered Nurse level in acute hospital settings
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to delegate and prioritise workload
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred clinical care
- A genuine interest in experiencing life in regional Australia
- Experience or knowledge in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health (highly regarded but not essential)
What We Offer
- Relocation support through our Soft Landing Program
- Great work-life balance, competitive remuneration, and long-term career prospects
Please note: These positions are not open to new or recent graduates. Applicants must have a minimum of 24 months' experience in a medical setting (in Australia or a comparable healthcare system).
