Perth, Western Australia Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

The Department is looking to establish a pool of experienced Manager Management Accountants (Level 7). This pool will be used to fill vacancies across the agency for the next 12 months.

The Manager Management Accounting is responsible for providing and developing complex financial modelling, analysis and reporting to support effective decisions for future performance. Stakeholder engagement and project management skills are critical to the deliverables of this role. As the Manager Management Accounting you are responsible for the development and provision of the delivery of timely and accurate services, advice and processing activities, policy and procedural compliance with financial legislation.

This is a pool recruitment process for permanent full-time and fixed term full-time opportunities. This pool may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed term positions, that may arise within the Department in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.

Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.

To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor level qualifications in finance, accounting or related discipline and current membership of a professional accounting organisation within Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance management including strategic financial and business planning; budget development; financial analysis and reporting, and oversight of financial controls to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards, the Financial Management Act 2006, Treasurers Instructions and other applicable legislative requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, particularly the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external), complex issues and heavy workloads.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of the application of Australian Accounting Standards and corporate governance principles including procurement, audit and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex information and concepts, communicate clear and actionable recommendations, and negotiate effectively with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context as outlined below.
