About the role

As a Solar Installer/Trade Assistant, you will play a critical role in MDB Electrical Pty Ltd's renewable energy division, contributing to the installation and maintenance of solar power systems across Adelaide, SA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality, sustainable energy solutions to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting qualified electricians and solar technicians with the safe and efficient installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV chargers and other related components
  2. Performing basic electrical work, such as wiring, conduit installation, and component testing
  3. Carrying out maintenance and repair tasks on existing solar power systems
  4. Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  5. Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
  6. Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a trade assistant or labourer role, preferably within the electrical or renewable energy industry
  2. Strong practical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions
  3. Good communication and customer service skills
  4. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
  5. A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability
  6. Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new skills
  7. Ability to work safely and adhere to all relevant safety protocols
  8. White Card & Working at heights are preferred but not essential
