About Us
At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it's your turn to make it happen.
This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
The Opportunity
Transgrid is leading Australia's transition to a clean energy future. As the nation's traditional coal system winds down, we're delivering safe, reliable electricity through a growing transmission network that spans thousands of landowner properties.
We're seeking a Discovery Hub Assistant for the Transgrid Discovery Hub — the welcoming face of our community engagement centre. In this casual role (which may require some evening and weekend work), you'll greet visitors, provide information and support, and help connect community members — including landowners, students, business owners, and government representatives — with the right people or resources.
About You- Experience in customer service, reception, or office administration
- Strong people skills with empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Able to manage sensitive or high-profile community issues with discretion
- Calm, resilient, and supportive under pressure
- Current Australian driver's licence
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the electricity industry
- Salesforce experience
- First Aid Certificate
- IAP2 community engagement accreditation
Recognition & Reward
We believe in providing our people personal, professional and social benefits so that they can deliver their best work each and every day. Employees have access to a range of corporate discounts across retail, utilities, travel, health & wellbeing etc, as well as novated leasing options, workplace flexibility, 20 weeks paid parental leave and more.
Regardless of where you are in your professional journey, Transgrid powers your career by providing access to regular and on-going training, workplace mentoring and tertiary education. At Transgrid, you are encouraged to build a career that is right for you.
Applications close on Friday, October 31st - Apply today and play a crucial role in driving the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future
