Are you a hands-on structural engineer who thrives on solving problems quickly, communicating clearly, and seeing your designs come to life?

This role offers autonomy, variety, and flexibility – working directly with the Director on projects where things have gone wrong and need to be put right.

We are a small, focused consultancy delivering inspections, forensic investigations, practical structural design, and contractor support.

Location: Brisbane or South East Queensland based – local presence is essential for site inspections and client visits.


What you'll be doing

You'll manage projects end-to-end, including:

  • Forensic inspections and condition assessments
  • Remedial design and strengthening solutions
  • Temporary works and retrofit design
  • Liaison with builders, contractors & asset owners to deliver buildable outcomes

Our projects range from basements of high-rise buildings to aging industrial facilities, marine structures, overloaded slabs, and failed waterproofing systems.

You'll need:

  • 5+ years' structural engineering experience
  • Background in remedial, forensic, temporary works, or retrofit projects
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards
  • Sound judgment and practical problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
