ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be required to work on your own, and sometimes with other plasterers on larger jobs. Sometimes there will be jobs that are half or 1 day, and sometimes spreading across multiple days. We are looking for someone who is safety conscious, can think dynamically by reporting back additional information that may affect the next trade due in, and someone who is looking to work with us long term and be part of a team.

Our job locations vary from Brisbane River north to Caloundra.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strip, Sheet, set and cornice - final set and sands.
  • Repair and Restoration: Perform repairs on damaged or deteriorated plaster, matching textures and finishes to seamlessly integrate with existing surfaces.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and others.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship by inspecting completed projects to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including supervisors, contractors, and other trades workers, to coordinate project timelines and objectives.
  • Client Communication: Interact professionally with clients
  • Worksite Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organised before, during, and after painting tasks to minimize disruptions and maintain a tidy workspace.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification: Completion of a plastering apprenticeship program or Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (CPC31211).
  • Construction Induction Safety White Card
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plasterer in construction or renovation projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and plastering machinery.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to achieve a high standard of finish and texture.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
  • Strong eye for detail and ability to achieve precise and aesthetically pleasing results.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to use a computerised maintenance management system for job instruction processing and timesheets.

Experience:

  • 5 years + of experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The role may involve working indoors or outdoors, depending on the project requirements.  Flexibility with work hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
