We are Martu people, we are the Native Title Holders, the Traditional Owners and custodians of the Wiluna Native Title area, including the Matuwa and Kurrara Kurrara Indigenous Protected Area.

Tarlka Matuwa Piarku Aboriginal Corporation (TMPAC) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC) established to hold the Native Title rights and interests of the Wiluna Native Title Holders. TMPAC holds recognised Native Title rights under traditional law and custom and shares responsibility with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions for managing Matuwa Kurrara Kurrara National Park and Lake Carnegie Class A Nature Reserve.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administration & Finance Officer to support operations across TMPAC and the Mantjiljarra Yulparirra Rangers'. This is a part-time role (25 hours per week, 9:00am–2:00pm) offering consistent hours and flexibility, making it well suited to a parent returning to the workforce, caregivers, or a part-time university student seeking practical experience in administration and finance.

Key Responsibilities

TMPAC

  • Provide front-of-house and administrative support, including:

  • Answering phones and managing enquiries

  • Greeting and assisting internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete general administrative duties as required
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of TMPAC events
  • Support the CFO and Senior Bookkeeper with finance and administrative tasks
  • Perform daily data entry for accounts payable and receivable

MYPL – Mantjiljarra Yulparirra Ranger Program

  • Provide administrative support to MYPL staff
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records
  • Reconcile MYPL accounts, including bank, Weel, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Update and maintain Ranger employee statistics reports for the CFO
  • Prepare and process MYPL Rangers' payroll, including:

  • Collation, finalisation, and filing of timesheets

  • Payroll processing and system entry
  • Updating the MYPL Ranger pay guide as required
  • Prepare and submit timely superannuation reporting via Quick Super
  • Monitor Weel software to ensure compliance with reporting and policy requirements, escalating issues where necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant awards, regulations, and legislation
  • Support the Senior Bookkeeper with daily finance tasks as required
  • Proficiency in payroll systems, Weel software, MYOB/Xero, and Excel is essential for this role

About You

  • Australian citizenship is required for this position

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Analytically minded
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
  • Experience in accounts payable/receivable and payroll
  • Minimum of 6-12 months experience in accounts payable/receivable and payroll is required
  • Proficiency in payroll systems, Weel software, MYOB/Xero, and Excel is essential for this role
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
