About the Role

We're looking for experienced Excavator Operators with demolition experience to join our civil construction team based in Tumut. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for operating modern excavators across a variety of demolition and earthworks projects on site.

This is a hands-on, diverse role ideal for operators who want consistent work, strong support, and the opportunity to expand their skills across civil construction activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate excavators on demolition and earthmoving projects
  • Conduct detailed and bulk excavation, trenching, and material handling
  • Perform demolition works in accordance with safety procedures
  • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and other civil tasks when required
  • Carry out daily pre-starts, equipment checks, and basic maintenance
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager and team to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating excavators on demolition and civil sites
  • Current excavator ticket/licence (and HR licence is a plus)
  • Sound understanding of demolition safety practices
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work within a team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (incl. functional, hearing, drug & alcohol testing)
