About the role

CDA Group is seeking experienced Excavator Operators (Multi Plant) to join our team on Central Coast & Newcastle Projects in NSW. As a Multi-Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in the construction industry, operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to support our ongoing projects. These are full-time position that offers stability and the opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic and growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating and maintaining a range of plant and machinery, including excavators, loaders, and forklifts
  • Carrying out pre-start checks and ensuring equipment is in safe working condition
  • Following site safety protocols and procedures to minimise risks and hazards
  • Collaborating with the construction team to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to improve operational efficiency
  • Adhering to quality control measures and industry regulations

What we're looking for

  • Understand how to operate around live/exsisting services
  • Relevant qualifications and licensing for operating plant and machinery in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience as a Plant Operator, preferably in a similar construction environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and supervisors

What we're NOT looking for

  • Lack a "can-do" attitude, are not willing to assist on the ground when required.
  • Like dragging the day out instead of working efficiently.
  • Are frequently distracted by your phone.
  • Don't take care of plant and equipment.
  • Have littler to no experience in the earthmoving or civil industries
