We are currently looking for a Carpenter who can demonstrate a commitment to safety and excellence in a great working environment.

About the Company –

RPC Dalby Pty Ltd is a well-established company, with its head office located at Dalby in regional Queensland. The company is a quality family-owned agricultural business which operates several pig farms around South Burnett, Southern Downs, and Western Downs Region.

Currently, the company is planning to build sheds on different farm locations and to maintain staff house such as installing new bathrooms and kitchens.

About the Role –

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to understand project specifications and layouts for sheds, houses and other buildings.
  • Accurately measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping various materials, including wood, plastic, drywall, and other building materials.
  • Constructing and assembling wooden structures, frameworks, and other building elements like walls, floors, and roofs.
  • Installing a variety of structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, shelves, stairs, and other interior and exterior components.
  • Inspecting existing structures, identifying damage, and repairing or replacing damaged framework, fixtures, or other parts.
  • Performing finishing tasks like sanding, staining, varnishing, and installing interior and exterior trim to complete projects.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the applicable safety and accident prevention regulations.

Technical & Safety Responsibilities

  • Safely operating and maintaining a wide range of hand and power tools and woodworking equipment.
  • Selecting appropriate materials for projects based on size, strength, and other specifications.
  • Ensuring work quality and safety by following established building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and ensuring necessary materials are moved around the job site.

Successful applicants will have –

  • High attention to detail
  • At least 2 years working experience. Recently qualified carpenter are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
  • Technical qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry, Recognition certificate as a carpenter to carry out the scope of work for the license class or equivalent qualifications.
