POSITION

  • Lead the team in the creation and fostering of a warm, structured, secure environment and maintain an accepting and supportive relationship with family and community contacts of each young person.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Residential Support Workers to provide trauma informed and culturally safe care to children and young people based on the Hope and Healing Framework.
  • Provide regular feedback and communication to team members via team meetings and supervision "Dadirri".
  • Manage daily operations: Work with the Program Coordinator to handle budgets, stock control, rosters, vehicle maintenance, risk assessments, and emergency preparations.
  • Lead and support care delivery: Guide your team in providing trauma-informed care, creating a nurturing home environment, planning meals and activities, and encouraging positive family relationships.
  • Respond and role model: Stay calm in challenging situations, manage behaviours, complete reports and plans, and act as a positive role model for children.
  • Full time, Government funded backfill opportunity until 22nd January 2026 possible extension.
  • Level 5 under the SCHCADS award.
