Are you ready to step into a leadership role in one of Newstead's most vibrant venues? The Muragh Operations team is currently on the hunt for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Botany Newstead.

Located in the heart of one of Brisbane's trendiest precincts, Botany is known for its bright, leafy vibe, modern Australian menu, and fantastic team culture. Our venue blends the laid-back feel of a local favourite with the high standards of a top-tier kitchen. It's a place where creativity thrives and chefs take real pride in their work.

As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef and Venue Manager to maintain the highest standards in food, service, and kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily prep and service, supporting stock control, contributing to menu development, helping manage rosters, and training junior staff.

• Qualified with an appropriate level of experience

• Able to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards

• A team player who enjoys collaborating with others

• A genuine passion for food and pride in every dish you send out

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• A positive force in the kitchen, with leadership potential and a can-do attitude

• Previous experience as a CDP or Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment

• Sound understanding of ordering, supplier relationships, rosters, and cost control

• Confident in taking initiative but humble enough to keep learning

• Work in a stunning, plant and light-filled venue with a supportive and passionate team
