An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate/Project Consultant within our Sustainable Waste Management team in Brisbane. We're looking for a like-minded individual who enjoys working with an enthusiastic, committed, and fun-loving team, is a good listener, and enjoys solving issues for clients.
Reporting to the Team Lead in Brisbane, you will be working very closely with the multidisciplinary consultants within our Brisbane office as well as the rest of the consultants across APAC which ranges from various specialists in contaminated sites and technical specialists comprising principal hydrogeologists, risk assessors, chemists, and environmental/remediation engineers and more to deliver quality services to our New South Wales and National clients.
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with the support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team. With a passion for sustainable waste management and earth sciences you will work with likeminded individuals, whilst enjoying excellent career opportunities across a range of industry sectors. The role will involve the winning and delivering waste management plans for developments with other opportunities across a wide range of waste related projects. As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence with project management, tenders/proposals preparation, confident on site and in fieldwork programs, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting. We will also consider someone just finishing their studies with the right attitude to learn and develop from an experienced team.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree and circa 1-3 years professional experience in consulting or similar industry role
- Have the capability in sustainable waste management / environmental preferably in the local government, project development, and infrastructure, sectors.
- The ability to analyse and interpret complex situations/problems and develop appropriate solutions in an effective and efficient manner.
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Extensive field experience undertaking site investigations, remediation supervision and monitoring
- Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy including data management and manipulation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent driving history and hold a current unrestricted driver's license.
- Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
