The Role

We're seeking passionate, multilingual Driver Guides to join our Australian team in Sydney and Melbourne. In this role, you'll be the face of Chameleon Travel Shop, bringing our carefully crafted itineraries to life for international guests. You'll combine expert driving, engaging storytelling, and deep local knowledge to deliver unforgettable experiences that showcase the very best of your region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport guests in cars and vans through scenic routes and city locations
  • Deliver captivating commentary about local attractions, history, culture, and hidden gems
  • Conduct thorough pre-tour research to familiarize yourself with each day's program
  • Execute pre-designed tour itineraries with precision and punctuality
  • Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout all tours
  • Provide personalized recommendations and insights within the framework of scheduled tours
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation to professional standards
  • Handle guest questions and special requests with patience, expertise, and cultural sensitivity

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional tour guiding experience
  • Fluency in English PLUS one or more of the following: French, Spanish, or Portuguese
  • In-depth knowledge of Sydney or Melbourne
    (depending on location)
  • Valid Australian driver's license with clean driving record
  • Confidence driving cars and vans in various conditions
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
