Job Location: Newcastle, must be based within a commutable distance of Newcastle.

We bring creativity, precision, and collaboration together to deliver exceptional structural engineering outcomes. We're looking for a Structural Draftsperson who's passionate about transforming design concepts into clear, buildable documentation that helps projects come to life.

As part of our dynamic team, you'll work closely with engineers and senior drafters to produce high-quality drawings and models. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has an eye for detail, and wants to grow their technical and project delivery skills in a supportive, team-driven environment.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare accurate and well-structured drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit, if applicable).
  • Develop a strong understanding of structural systems, connections, and construction techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team leaders from concept through to detailed design.
  • Deliver clear and concise documentation that helps builders and clients understand the design intent.
  • Communicate proactively with your team and manage your time to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Continuously learn and improve your drafting skills while contributing to project success.

What You'll Bring

  • A Diploma of Civil Construction Design (or equivalent qualification).
  • 1–3 years' experience in structural drafting across a variety of project types.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience a bonus).
  • A good grasp of timber, masonry, steel, and concrete detailing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach — you enjoy working as part of a team and learning from others.
