About the role

Blackhawk Earthmoving are looking for an experienced Excavator/Combo Operator to join our team. The applicant must have relevant tickets and a HR license. The role offers the flexibility of casual work, allowing you to balance your professional commitments with your personal life.

What you'll be doing

  • Successfully operate excavators and pozitracks and complete various tasks on job sites safely and effectively
  • Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure efficient and timely completion of project milestones
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators and pozitracks
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction and civil environment
  • Must be able to work independently and within clients guidance where required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing work conditions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with the construction team
  • Relevant licences and certificates, including a valid HR driver's licence and construction industry white/blue card
  • Must be mechanically minded and help provide preventative maintenance
